how long does it take for a company to carry out a credit check?

i recently ordered a pay monthly contract phone with vodafone and they said that they have to carry out a credit check before they can process the order. however i am still waiting for a reply. does anybody have any idea how long it usually takes to carry out the check?

They can pull your credit in seconds. If your credit score is border line they may need approval by a supervisor.

Shannon is right. Sometimes you are approved instantly.
When there is a delay, that’s when you have a chance of getting turned down.
