If I order my credit report, will it drop my credit score?
Hey Love. asked:
Everyone wants to know what their credit score is. For Free! But if I check to see what my credit score is, is it going to drop?

No, it doesn’t drop. And you have the right to look at your credit report once a year for free.

No, your credit score is not affected at all when YOU look at it. In fact, you’re the only one that can see that you have looked at it.
Also, be careful of where you check your credit score. You’re best off doing it at the official credit bureaus; it’s much safer that way. It’s very rare for you to be able to see your credit SCORE for free though– you’re only legally entitled to see your report for free.
