You have to let them run it to see. It is according to their standards of what is good and what is bad. Ask them what ALL you need to bring with you if you are using a debit card. I found a car rental place that took actual cash and debit cards without a credit check. You may want to check into this option. It will likely be in the inner cities in order to find such a company. Look in the yellow pages under “car rental” and maybe one is advertising cash deposit.
