I just started a new job and will be signing up for direct deposit soon. I know some banks offer incentives ($25-$100, free iPods, etc) to get you to set up a checking account with direct deposit. I live in the Chicago area (southwest suburbs) and am curious as to what bank/credit union, etc offers the best incentives to gain my business.
